What is your inspirational source?
Mainly reading and cinema,
some science fiction novels and even some movies have had a strong influence.
Gibson was one of the most important authors for me when I was young, in particular some of his
stories and some theoretical texts.
Stanislaw Lem and the reading of his "Summa Technologie" were also very important.
Solaris and Hard to a God are among my favorite films and have instead had a strong influence on
my visual imagination.
For the rest observe what happens on social media or through them.
What are the most meaningful topics you try to represent in your work?
I don’t think there is a “topic. I try to make abiguous images or videos, to talk about death sex and
love, in digital age, using digital technologies.
How do you envision future technologies and how will they affect your work ?
I don’t really know wich technologies we will see in the future. I don’t think that anyone can know
that, but i’m sure that near futere will offer a great challege to the art scene as a whole, issues like
the use of technology derivated from neural network in our common life, and the ubiquity of
internet-mediated services can not be ignored.
How do social networks influence your work?.
I love the kind of mediation they offer, the ability to create a new self online and of course love to
share and see what other users share.
I am still scared by the lack of transparency in the use of user data.
There are always new software technologies. How do you learn to use them?
It's usually just a matter of trial and error for me, I've never had teachers so all I do is probably done
the wrong way
We daresay that new media will soon fill the apparent dichotomy between art and technology, to assimilate one to each other: what’s your opinion about the relationship between Art production and Technology?
I think that art and technology will never be the "same" thing, or rather, I believe that there has always been a
relationship between art and technology, often of exchange (the perspective in the Renaissance period, and the
architecture is an excellent example)
sometimes of rejection. today, however, our lives are so influenced by technology that art can not but take it into
account, what will be the ways and the tools I can not foresee.
However, I believe that the production of art through digital technologies is already something concrete.
